Implementation Planning

Robin McWilliam has developed methods from implementation science to support the implementation of the Routines-Based Model. This process includes working through a thorough checklist of steps for the four stages of implementation: exploration, installation, initial implementation, and full implementation (Fixsen, Blase, Naoom, & Wallace, 2009). It also includes directions for conducting the implementation planning meeting with stakeholders, resulting in a timeline for implementing practices from the model in concert with other initiatives the entity needs to implement. Finally, it includes documentation of the barriers and enhancers to implementation.
